Hello World!
Hi there! I’m Tomin Mattam, a recent graduate as of May 2023, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary. Currently, I am thrilled to have joined FTP full time as a Network EIT (Engineer in Training).
With experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, and Technology industries, I bring a diverse skill set to the table. At FTP Solutions, I design, configure, test, and support wireless communication systems for autonomous haulage systems, and was part of the team that deployed the first fully autonomous mine in Canada.
I worked on a 140 GHz power amplifier for 6G applications on CMOS technology as my capstone project. Our team collaborated with Ciena and Dr Leo Belostotski at the University of Calgary as advisors. We achieved high gain, efficiency and output power while meeting the specifications and challenges of the 6G frequency band.
In addition to my technical expertise, I also have a background in business development and data analytics. I enjoy working on web development projects in my spare time.
When I’m not studying or working, you can find me skiing, playing squash, cooking, or traveling. You can reach me by email at tominjmattam@gmail.com. I love answering questions.
