Project 2: Segmenting and Evaluating Brain Bleed Regions in CT Scans

  • Description: Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is a life-threatening condition caused by bleeding within the skull from trauma, stroke, or aneurysm rupture, resulting in over 20,000 annual deaths in the U.S. Early, accurate detection and segmentation of ICH from Non-Contrast Computed Tomography (NCCT) images are critical but challenging. This project aims to develop an automated tool using advanced algorithms to accurately segment ICH in NCCT images, improving patient outcomes and reducing the workload for medical professionals.
